MBBS, MRCGP(UK), DRCOG, DFFP, Dip.CARDIOLOGY (London) . Qualified in 1997 and is the Senior Partner and Lead Physician at Dr.Iqbal & Partners, Kensington Street Health Centre.
Dr.Iqbal has recently been appointed as an Appraiser in Bradford. He also sits on the Steering Group for the Citycare Practice Base Commissioning Alliance, with an additional responsibility of being the Lead for CardioVascular Diseases for the Citycare Alliance of medical practices in Bradford. He acts as an Expert witness for Medico-Legal reportings. He is also an assessor for the Blue Badge patients in Bradford. He also acts as a Medical Facilitator for the training of pharmacists and Advanced Practitioner Training course for nurses. He has a special interest in Cardiology and has recently been accredited with Bradford Primary care Trust as GPwSI (GP with Special Interest) in ECGs. He also writes a column on health issues in Urdu in the Daily newspaper 'Ausaaf'.
From January 2011, Dr.IQBAL will teach First year and Second year medical students in our surgery. We are delighted to be taking the first batch of medical students from Leeds Medical School.

Dr.R.K.Malhotra (Retired) M.B.B.S had been looking after our registered patients for the last 30 years. He reduced his working hours to few sessions a week before completely retiring from General Practice in 2008.
Dr.Rajesh Malhotra (Retired) M.B.B.S has recently retired from our surgery. She used to run the baby clinic and the well women clinic. She retired in 2008.
Dr.Safina Haque LMSSA, LRCP, LRCS (2000), MRCGP(2007), DFFP (2003) is working currently as a full-time GP at our surgery. She has special interest in Gynaecology, Family Planning and Antenatal care.
Dr.Aquila Hasan is a GP with 'Special Interest in Women's Health'. She is available for appointments on Tuesday afternoons.
NURSES
Joanne Standhaven RGN is the Advanced Nurse Practitioner at our Practice. She has recently been awarded the Advanced Community Practitioner BSc Honours Degree from the Leeds Met University. She also holds the Diploma in Diabetes Management and a Diploma in Cervical Screening.
Samia Hanif RGN is our Practice Nurse at the surgery. She has recently passed her Diploma in Respiratory Disease Management. She has also passed her cervical screening assessment and can take cervical smears independently. She is currently studying for her Diploma in Coronary Heart Disease.
HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT
Shasta Noreen is ournew Health Care Assistant. She undertakes health checks, phlebotomy and health education.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Nicole Holmes is the new Practice Manager at our surgery. She has previously worked at Wilsden Medical Practice. Having worked for many years within the Finance and HR industry, Nicole hopes to bring a new perspective to the surgery and help it develop and grow whilst still delivering excellent service.
RECEPTION
Mrs. Eileen Corp is the Senior Receptionist at the surgery who not only supervises the smooth running of the reception but also deals with the patients requests for prescriptions and other paperwork and legal documentations.
Phil Edwards is the Data Quality Manager, responsible for collating and providing reporting and helping us meet our targets.
Nafeesa Shah is the Medical Secretary within the surgery, having worked as a receptionist in the past.
Nazia Kausar is the Administrator/Co-ordinator looking after the on going admin work.
Bron, Louise, Maggie, Ellen and Vladimir are an integral part of the reception team. They ensure your telephone calls and your visit to the reception is dealt with as courteously as possible.

DISTRICT NURSES TEAM
Our district nurses provide a holistic assesment within the home setting, including family and caring needs. They offer advice, support and teach patients, familes and carers, thus creating independence and well being. They give advice on healthy life style, provide specialist nutritional care and wound care and also provide palliative care to the terminally ill patients.
